About Weisman & Calderon LLP

Weisman & Calderon LLP was founded in 1996 by Harold Weisman, a living legend in the Bronx County Courthouse for over 50 years, his son, Richard Weisman, who had spent 15 years working for national law firms in corporate and real estate practice, and Carlos Calderón, a former Bronx County prosecutor and private defendants’ attorney.

Perhaps best known for handling pre-trial matters and trying cases on behalf of dozens of law firms in Bronx County, Weisman & Calderon LLP has seen its own practice expand to include its own major personal injury, medical malpractice and other professional liability matters.

Weisman & Calderon LLP also maintains an active Elder Law, Guardianship and Health Law practice, safeguarding the interests of the elderly, and disabled children and their families, through the creation and administration of Court-supervised guardianships and Supplemental Needs Trusts to preserve eligibility for Medicaid and other public benefits, and in the prevention and legal challenge of elder abuse and improper conduct by fiduciaries. Our clients range from impoverished families and recipients of personal injury recoveries, to a major financial institution.
